Welcome to Ronse, with its colourfull streets and adventurous tales!
During this interactive walk you will discover the Picturale murals – unique wall illustrations made by the laureats of the biennual Picturale illustration festival. Each artwork tells its own story and makes of Ronse a creative playground for young adventurers.
This walk is also an ideal family activity! With the ErfgoedApp by hand, together on an outing. Hilde Rogge takes you along on a discovery trail full of wonderful stories and fascinating visuals.
Let it inspire you to make your own illustrations! Who knows, you may soon join the Picturale Illustrationfestival as participant.

- Start: Belevingscentrum Hoge Mote - De Biesestraat 2 (attention: blue zone parking only!)
- For who: children from 6 to 12
- Download the free ErfgoedApp at the start of the discovery trail. At each illustration, scan the QR code. You can download the ErfgoedApp in Google Play or the Apple App Store. Look for the ‘ErfgoedApp’ or for the app symbol and click on 'Download'. The app is not big and fits on most smartphones. For a smooth operation, you require an internetconnection (wifi, 3G, 4G). But the app foresees solutions for spaces without reach (for ex. a castle, cellar, ...). The app also requires version 4.4 of more recent for Android telephones or tablets. For iPhone, iPad en iPod touch is iOS 10 or more recent necessary.
- Free purchase: You can choose to buy the Picturale backpack (€ 10) with the taskbooklet, colouring pencils en a Picturale postcard.
- Stroll through the city with the Picturale wagon! The use of the wagon is free but a guarantee of € 25 (cash only!) will be requested. A reservation is recommended but not mandatory. There are two wagons available.
- Distance: 2,5 km
- Time: about 2 hours
- The entire route is wheelchair accessible.
